Earlier this month, Cloud9 Insight joined over 17,000 partners attending Microsoft’s annual partner ‘Inspire’ conference which this year week was hosted in Washington DC.
Microsoft has a unique partner channel that is very collaborative, so this is a great event to facilitate shared learning and create new partnerships for the mutual benefit of our clients. From last years event in Toronto, Cloud9 Insight formed a new partnership with another very successful CRM business to create a Sales Training business Aluminar Ltd which is focused on delivering sales training and supporting clients in being more customer centric in their sales processes.

So, what how did ‘Inspire’ inspire us?
Microsoft Azure continues to be a high growth area and of strategic importance to our clients. The benefits for clients moving to Azure include the ability to scale in a secure way, with a lower up front investment and peace of mind for business continuity and reliability.

Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Edition – Finance and Operations
We are excited to announce that Business Edition Finance & Operations is now available in the UK. Cloud9 are running a number of events to give you early insight into the capabilities of this solution to support your business growth. Its tight integration with Office 365 gives increased user performance in doing day to day activities and client and supplier management. See more information on the solution here.
Cloud9 are pleased to have worked closely with Microsoft on an early adopters programme to bring this solution to market in the UK.
Microsoft will be launching a Sales application to join Financials in the Business Edition suite. This will be available later in the calendar year in the UK.
The final piece of the Business Edition puzzle is the Marketing Application, due in 2018.

There was a lot of buzz about the launch of a new collaborative productivity solution which you get free with O365 called Teams which is based on SharePoint. This solution has already been adopted by Cloud9 Insight and has transformed how we work overnight. In the near future, we are promised this collaboration capability will extend to external customers too. Microsoft UK are committed to supporting the Government sponsored Apprenticeship Scheme which is also seen as addressing a critical skills shortage especially in Cloud skills. There have been significant changes in legislation which means Apprenticeships are not limited to just young school leavers, but are more widely available to anyone wishing to change their career or re-enter the workforce. Companies with turnover over £3m will be required to offer apprenticeships.
Cloud9 Insight have been committed to offering Apprenticeships within our business as a great way for us to learn about how new generations are using technology as well offering great learning opportunities and mentoring skills within the wider team. The enthusiastic energy of Apprentices is contagious and adds a great buzz within the team.
One of our past apprentices has gone on to become Microsoft Apprentice of the year collecting their award from No 10 Downing Street and another is now completing a Cloud9 sponsored Open University MBA.

Cloud9 posted back in May that exciting new features were on the horizon for Dynamics and LinkedIn integration.
At Inspire, there was significant excitement about the announcement for Sales Navigator which will enable extended embedded use of Linkedin within Dynamics CRM. There is an additional cost for this integration and extended capability however, for businesses relying on relationship building, is a must.
